If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Lack of commitment to wasting time and words defending and trying to say anything positive whilst having said words ripped apart by someone with too much time on their hands with half truths and over simplistic views and hidden agendas? Agreed

To Wigan RLFC never

Terrible business sense

The object of the exercise is to win trophies not make money by selling players. It will be terrible business sense if we end up with cash in the bank and no trophies.

If SAMs so happy I guess he'll be telling IL to shove his transfer then?
I mean he's got a contract at Wigan so no one can make him go if he doesn't want?

Him being happy here doesn't mean if IL offers him a way out of his current deal he isn't going to take it anyway.

I would suggest he was quite happy with the contract he had or he would not have signed it. If he was no longer happy with it now there wasn't actually anything he could do about it himself without being in clear breach of contract. So if he had done that I'd have expected IL to remind him of the terms and that would be the end of it until the end of 2014.

However if IL is willing to offer a way out that means Christmas has come early for Sam financially that doesn't mean he had any other intention than sticking to the original deal himself. He may well be just as surprised as the fans that IL is willing to rip up the kind of contract he agreed.

You're a card, you are. You're the first person to dismiss another poster's argument if he can't or won't back it up with hard fact yet so much of your own opinions are pure conjecture. I've underlined a few examples in the passage above. Basically you have no clue what's going on and yet have already formulated an aggressive viewpoint on the matter. There are times when you're running the club's finances for them - better than IL can, it goes without saying - without having a single account book to hand.

When are you going to provide some hard facts of your own to support these endless allegations of incompetence etc?

I think it's you that is the card Cruncher.

You are so up IFLs ass hole it is not funny.

We have a chairman that has tied the best player in the UK down to a decent contract and then said ok you can go now so I can make some money and you are clearly happy.

Go feel your bumps.

Well call me old fashioned but I think I'll wait until we've got something official one way or another with some of the facts before deciding which camp I'm in - Happy Clapper or Miserable Git?

Spot on
And if I had the will to live through the endless counter "made up" arguments I'd enter a slanging match too, but I can't be bothered.

As you say, ridiculing everyone else who has a counter argument and labelling posts with words such as "idiotic" or "clueless" whilst 90% of the stuff posted is as you say pure conjecture.

My particular favourite at the moment is the spin that IL is "facilitating" or "hawking" or other words I've give up bothering digesting to make out IL has a catalogue of all the Wigan players with price lists on their heads!

I'm sure he would love the players to stay and reap the benefits of the youth system that HE facilitated.
However I'm also sure that given the cards he has to play at this moment in time I'm not sure he's taking the wrong options and I'm prepared to give him BOD given his track record. And as I have stated previously, if ST is so happy here why doesn't he tell IL to shove his transfer if it is indeed IFL who's pushing it?
I won't wait for a sensible response on that because ST saying ill go then if you don't want me is so mind blowingly out of the question IMO I can't even contemplate it!

We know that certain posters are and have been against SW an IL for a while now. Some people's stance on whole Gareth Hock saga was bordering on ridiculous (BTW did anything come out of all that? I'm still waiting for that backlash and maybe Friday was it?).
Some people are trying to turn as many situations as they can into a negative on them as IMO they're looking for this "I told you so" moment.

I've seen the posts stating SW has ripped up the MM coaching book etc and blah blah when all he said was along the lines of MM brought a structure to the club and I believe I can improve it?
What was wrong with that? God forbid he would say we're all up the creek without a paddle!

We have people wanting Wigan to announce this and announce that, when they do they then label it as spin or lies and we don't believe it.

If we were 4th 5th like people predicted I wouldn't even understand it?
We've played some o the best rugby I've seen in20 years this last couple of seasons.
God forbid we were in Saints position!

In his 1st fans forum he said 3 things that stood out to me.

1/ wigan were going to become a self sufficient and profitable club. IMO something that was badly needed after the previous regime.
I would say he's been successful?

2/Wigan would operate within the salary cap.
No brainier, he's been successful at that.

3/ he was going to build a pathway for wigan juniors and train/educate these youngsters and give them a route to being successful if they worked hard and deserved it.
He's been so successful for me in this area in so many ways. The way the lads are treated now compared to 5+ years ago is amazing IMO.

None, I repeat, none of this guarantees success. But nothing else does either.
For me though in the current situation we find ourselves in those 3 things will place Wigan at the forefront of those that will challenge for years to come.
We won't win them all, but whatever we do ill feel a whole lot prouder about the way we've gone about it then the way we tried to do it n the past.
