Your club has rested players twice against Bradford. 2002 when you tried to keep your players fresh for the Cup Final against us and still lost  and then 2004 when Long and Gleeson bet on the match

Both times your club was dragged through the gutter because of it.

Don't try and take the high ground here you muppet.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

The High Ground.

Statement from RFL

Former New Zealand Test captain Quentin Pongia has been stood down by Wigan following outrage over revelations that he has played the first three months of the Super League season with the contagious blood disorder hepatitis B.

Pongia, who briefly played for St George Illawarra last year after previous stints with Canberra, the Warriors and Roosters, was diagnosed with the potentially fatal ailment in January but is believed to have had it since birth.

His club bosses knew of his condition but rival players and teammates were not informed.

The 33-year-old prop played in Wigan's recent Challenge Cup final loss to St Helens but Wigan supremo Maurice Lindsay said Pongia would no longer be considered for selection until cleared by the Rugby Football League after UK newspapers revealed the player's identity at the weekend. Lindsay said Pongia had immediately notified Wigan upon learning of his condition and the club had sought advice from the Australian Rugby League.

The rest of the Wigan squad was tested and inoculated against the disease - without being told why. Lindsay said Pongia - whose brother in New Zealand has since learnt that he also has had hepatitis B since birth - was on the way to making a full recovery.

What about considering the rest of the super league players welfare instead of the clubs self protection.

One side of the story. Try this side as well although it probably doesn't fit your agenda?

"We have been completely open about this," Lindsay said. "The day we got to know about Quentin's condition we alerted Rugby League headquarters. I raised the matter at the conference of Super League clubs at the start of the season. I made sure that they were aware of the situation, although the one thing I could not do, legally, was to name the player."

Anyway this thread should probably be locked now. It's just going around in circles and better discussions are happening on other threads.

Just out of interest, why does Wane think Wakefield need to go to London?

I think he had the challenge cup final in mind for some reason, it didn't make much sense to me neither.

Mr Teflon?

Remember this
http://www.saintsrlfc.com/news/page/5138

When the actual figures were released, it was a loss of almost £1 million

Talk about trying to pull the wool over fans eyes.

Discussed at length here.

Rouges, coming from yourself your comment about a Wigan team throwing the towel in will have had more effect with the watchers from the club than any of the comments from the majority on here.
Why do I say that, because in any so called crisis on here before when posters are going over the top, my self included you have always come across as someone who gives a measured view of the problem of the time.

Cheers,
It was obvious that something was wrong on Sunday. I'm pleased that Radlinski has given that information. As I said it was the most unlike Wane team performance I have seen in probably 10 plus years of watching his various teams play. For some people to compare it to the Millward time is IMO completely off the mark. The club at that time were in a poor state (read Radlinkis book) which is a real eye opener.
I'm also of the opinion that the fans don't necessarily have the right to know every minute detail of what goes on inside any club, but after what went on over the last week it was probably better to get something out to us.
