That said I don't blame IL for going after those two given the circumstances of the club at the time v the salary cap. They could have worked out. Things have moved on since then and we ought not to be in the risky signings zone.
I don't see much risk with the NZ player provided we don't offer him a daft contract. Based on past form at Hull we have already offered a daft contract for our player from Hull (whose name I can't spell
) as we have given him a three year deal minimum.

Maybe they will both work out but I have to say whenever we have gone the cheap route since IL took over (Mathers, Pryce) it never has so far.
