I thought Pryce was a winger. If Carmont goes that leaves us with Goulding and Gleeson in the centres and if either is injured forced to play the two juniors rather than give them a gradual introduction.
What do you mean by "under the financial situation the club is in "? IL said on the radio we pay to the cap limit so it's all about who gets what slice of that pie isn't it?
As to it being time for Goulding and Pryce to show if they can or can't next year, what if they can't? With George gone we would be a bit stuffed.
The ideal would have been George for one more season but somehow we have ended up with a situation where it seems its two years or none.Dave

It seems that's exactly what the choice is two years or none, and I would say that the club and most of the fans are in agreement that a one year deal would be best but that's now not going to happen.
It's a case of weighing up the pro's and con's of both a 2 year deal or no deal and deciding which is best for Wigan, and I say no deal we shouldn't be held ransom by a player particularly when we have younger guy's who will soon be requiring first team rugby.
