His recent injury troubles are a bit of a worry, but he is very experienced and could definitely help out with the development of the likes of Tierney and Hampshire. I'd be disappointed if we got him on any more than a 2 year deal, but as a stop gap before one of the academy lads take over I think it could be a good move.

I don't think another 12 months of development would do Hampshire/Tierney any harm at all. Quite the opposite in fact.

Very good experienced player who would be a great signing on a short term deal imo.

We have a lot of good future prospects, but imo they are just that.. future prospects who I would rather be given a chance to develop a bit more before being thrown into the deep end every week then become a scape goat when they don't play as well as Sam for instance.

The injury thing is a concern. But I think he could offer a lot off the pitch to some of the younger players coming though in that position aswell as on it so worth a punt imo.

Physically from what I see every week I think the NRL is a lot tougher and quicker physically than superleague so who knows. It may work out.

Might be used sparingly.
A big game player so only use him in big games.
His advice to Tierney and Hampshire could be very good for them.

From the link posted above:

"The Courier-Mail understands the club's medical reports, coupled with Bowen's training data this season, indicate his reconstructed knees will struggle to cope with another NRL campaign in 2014."

He also wants to stay there so if he does leave surely it will be because his club have decided he isn't up to it physically.

If Bowen does sign and come here then we need a tall man to take Pat's 5 shirt.
Maybe Joe Burgess.
Bowen is small and we'll need tall men around him in defence to counteract the inevitable bombs that will be aimed his way.
Mind you, if they don't get their kick right and he fields it in open and a broken field then any opposition will be in trouble if he's still got anything like the pace he once had.
If true, a decent experienced signing to guide Tierney and Hampshire in full back play.

A decent signing yet the only reason he will be coming here is that he physically cannot cope with the NRL for another year.
