how do you know ablett wasnt offered other contracts? and didnt stay at leeds for the love of the club, and a chance to play for a better contract, as i said he's on better money with a review at the end of the year, apposed to scruton who felt that the money the bulls offered was right for him at the time and signing for a poor club.

 As if he'd turn down a two/three year deal from another Super League club just to stay at Leeds ''for the love of the club''. Get real.

Truth is, Leeds' offer was probably his only Super League option.

come on!! he did a great job there for sure. but world class? not even close

this shows everything about your knowledge of the game

no wait this is the worst come back ever!!

smith
farah
KK
buderus

tommy's not even in the same universe as theae guys as a 9

Yet he outplayed anyone put in front of him (including Smith) in the World Cup. KK has never done a bean at World level and, even by your reckoning, you can only find 4 candidates who are better! All this for a player with no more than a handful of games in this position!

Actually all that is by the by, as the point I was making was that, in the context of the argument, you felt the need to point out his uninspiring performances at half back eventhough it had nothing to do with what was being said, and failed to point out that he had performed to a world level at hooker, which did have bearing on the argument.

One final thing. Away from the argument at hand, but relevent to your post re: TL's half back performances. Who were England's half backs at the WC? Didn't exactly set the world on fire did they, being outplayed by every combination they took the field against. Care to comment on that with your wonderful level of rugby knowledge?

yeah crazy thinking someone would stay at a club because they love it!!

how stupid of me.

talk about selective reading. i will say it again one more time!!! ablett has been given an improved deal with a review to it been made longer at the end of season.

and you have no idea what clubs came to ablett, if you think non your a fool.

i believe hull kr was one but there just rumours

Now you've really lost the plot haven't you? So you know that was the reason he only signed a one year deal is it or are you just clutching at straws to back up an obviously poor argument?

There is cap space at Leeds but they couldn't offer one of their best backrowers a better deal. Correct me if I'm missing something but isn't that a contradiction? Also, it's not as if Leeds don't tie their better players to longer contracts..isn't Peacock playing out his career there for example?

Let's get real for a moment. You're trying to tell us that a player Leeds only saw fit to offer a 1 year deal to, never played at representative level, or been up for any individual honours is better than 3 proven internationals, an ex-Kangeroo and SOO player and last year's nominated young player of the year. I believe you....no really...

If he was that good he wouldn't have an ''improved deal with review''.

He'd just be given a good, two or three year extension like most other proven players.

Carry on digging though, it's funny.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

if you think this is the big difference between our teams then its show you know jack about the game.

its so much more than what you have said

Im saying thats the big difference wher the gap between the team is the biggest, you offer lots more than just that which is why you have 2 super league trophies in two years and we dont.
