We can't call anyone, we have eight. Our Overseas recruitment has increased by one on 2011 season which is very disappointing as I thought we had a couple too many back then.
Carmont Finch Lima Gelling Leuluai Roberts Richards Lauaki
No doubt someone will point out its actually nine overseas born players in our squad (Hansen).
Totally agree and it was part of the reason I wouldn't have signed Lauaki but hopefully he will prove me wrong.
In fairness to us though I think we can at least claim the majority of those lads are top class and they add some value to the comp. Guys like Richards, Carmont, Leuluai and Lima are top draw players and haven't been plucked from the second tier Aussie competions.
It's something that at least we're looking to improve on though and i'm not sure the same can be said for HKR and Wakey. They've increased their overseas player numbers by far more then 1.
Yeah, but just wait until Eddie and Stevo get hold of those figures. They'll be seriously disappointed in us, and will at the same time forget to mention just how much home-grown talent we have in our first team squad.
And rightly so, but they they will will probably ignore the Saints seven.
He has failed to impress at Sale Sharks. It was mentioned on the union thread a couple of months ago that he'd probably be back in rugby league before long.
Paul Anderson has agreed to take over as the new coach of the Huddersfield Giants on 3-year contract from 2013. Nathan Brown's off to the NRL.
We go ahead and promote from within, with Wane taking over the head coaching reins, and today Huddersfield announce Anderson is to take over from Brown in 2013.

Where Wigan lead others follow.
Bringing in a top Aussie coach (Madge/Brown) and putting them alongside an English Assistant (Wane/Anderson) seems to be the best bet in bringing back more English coaches in the game. They learn from the best for a few years and when they get the top job excellent structures are already put in place for them to maintain and build on. I think we could see more clubs follow the same path or at least I hope more clubs do.
Will be so annoyed if Leeds get Iain Thornley, we lose our best academy centre to RU, he fails then joins Leeds. Brilliant
I expected big things of Thornley before he buggered off to Sale. Not happy if Leeds get him.
To be honest, there a few people who said he wasn't fulfilling his potential while he was at Wigan, hence he'd barely played at first team level. If he can't impress at Sale, bloody hell - what does that say about him?
Not saying I'd be pleased to see him join Leeds, but I didn't think he was a massive loss at the time.
