I am NOT writing Josh Charnley off. The lad is a class act and one of my favorite players.
I never said you were writing Josh off as a player, I said you were writing him off as a centre.
You said:
Defense should be the first attribute required for a Centre and i dont think he has got it at the required level.
Hence why I asked you what you expected of a lad in his first season of pro RL.
What i am saying is that he could be an absolute beast of a Winger, so why would we want to move him?
How do you know he wouldn't make an even better centre? He excelled there considerably in his spell at Hull KR. So much so that they wanted to sign him up.
I agree with you he's a cracking winger, but the coaching staff may want to move him because we're struggling for options in the centres in comparison to the wing. We have another winger in Ryan King coming through, but as of yet we don't have any centres coming through. A problem for British RL just as much as Wigan.
I know less emphasis is placed on a good winger over a Centre nowadays but it has been a long time since we had a real potent weapon out wide.
Aren't you forgetting about our former MOS winger Pat Richards?
I believe Josh Charnley could be a brilliant winger or centre. Given the choice I'd take a centre anytime, because as a nation we struggle to produce centres.
Players like Dallas and Carney had pace and power just like Josh. Why is it wrong to want him to emulate them?
It aint and I never said it was.
