The big thing is how Gelling settles in at Wigan and basically if he is up to it at this level. He clearly had talent as a junior but is he ready to make the move to be a first team regular.
Goulding on the face of some of the centres running around in first team is the steady option.....but nothing special. On the Wing we have several options and competition for places, we are not afforded that luxury at centre so it is natural for Goulding to be training at centre.
The pre season games will dictate who gets the real first chance at making the shirt their own, the number on your back counts for nothing. I genuinely hope it is Gelling as it means we will have signed a quality recruit to take the shirt over Goulding, but only time will tell.
