Dont get upset Jonh. Anybody can be wrong. I simply had no choice but to point out that all your years of rambling about how Noble cannot coach anything other than 5 drives and a kick has well and truely been blown out of the water tonight.
Full credit on the praise good man!
I very much doubt he has evolved from 5 drives and a kick to that sort of a performance in a few weeks. I think its more a case that he has finally got the new players to gel and 2 halfbacks that actually work well together along with the correct team selection.
Of course, the tactics that you have told us for years he cannot coach.
Oh one last thing. Bailey back to centre was a smart move short term wasnt it?

I am not upset at all quite the opposite, jesus i get accused of having a big ego usually by the people on this thread attempting to plump there own.
Lets not forget we have been here before, we need to back this up, the entire point is though things finally looked like they could be turned around. A few of the pundits have been saying for the last week of so this is a watershed for Nobles Wigan career, and what is pleasing after tonights offering is that he seriously seems to have changed his ethos, but again we saw this on the odd occasion last year and then went back to the dross 90% of the time.
For the first time in god knows how long i saw a real positive team contribution with support runners and dummy runners and options, for a ball carrier, regardless of errors blamed on the players such as poor ball retention etc we have not seen this very often in the past, hardly at all this season expect when we were chasing the game, now you can say tonight they followed his game plan, but clearly this was a diffenent game plan to what we had seen from him before and that in the important thing.
I personally suspect that the situation he was in regards his coaching future has forced a rethink and a change of ethos, fantastic, long may it continue.
The opinion of Noble does not change over night that would just be stupid and a very fickle personality trait, but today he has gone up in my estimations and i look forward to next week and the rest of the season with a renewed enthusiasm, as to be perfectly honest after the offerings of this year and the perevious 2 years performances I have started to fall out of love with our great game, lets hope toinght will be a platform for bigger and better things.
