I can't believe you are spouting this "settling in" rubbish yet again. It is complete nonsense for a player of his age and experience.

The fact he has apparently had a good game is great but it is about time. If he has been injured fair enough that is a good excuse but please give up on this he hasn't settled in rubbish. Pat Richards is no example.

Did you ever see McCormack play? He didn't need any of this settling in in time. If Riddell was injured that was a problem and it wasn't fair to play him. If not, no excuse.

Dave

Of course it takes time to settle in. :?

He's playing in a completely different competition in completely different country.

Craig Smith is an example of a player that took time settle , and Mark Riddell has improved with each game, i was impressed with his decision makeing which was very positive instead of being caught in two minds and leading to errors .

As i posted during the week, he needs time, and the dropping of Smith seems to have given a few players a kick up the backside.

Great performance from him and shows what he is capable of. I just hope this is the sign of things to come!

Piggy played well last night. As many have said it was a matter of when he settled he would come good not not will he come good. He lead us around the pitch like a good hooker should. We have not had this since Newton. People have missed out on his defense. I thought he looked good in that department. He showed glimpses of how good he is at Quins and carried on last night. Lets hope he continues to get better week-by-week.

How long before we get a chant of 'feed the pig and he will score?'

How is pat richards no example? it took him a year too settle in

You've been shown up tonight dave after all the stick you've given him, and if you had actually gone to the game you wouldnt even have posted this.

Only reason why Dave is giving him stick is because he's still crying about his love child being at Warrington.

The guy needs to settle into a whole new enviroment but besides that and the biggest one to deal with is the fact he has to settle into a new side and get to know new players. Building an understanding with new players doesn't just happen overnight so of course you need time to settle.

Anyone think missing Smith being involved in the plays might have made us play more expansive (and more inportantly as a team)?

Smith did seem to have a hand in all our plays when he played and afterall, a halfback controls a game. I cant help thinking its to much of a coincidence that Smith is dropped and we start playing like a whole different team.

Please show me were i have asked for any kind of apology.

More proof you really have a screw loose.

Yes Riddell was superb last night when he was on. Also McIllorum did well.

Rugby Union: When entertainment just isn't your thing.

Much better performance from Mark Riddell and so it should have been. Played very well, took the line and offered us something different from dummy half. For the first time this season we looked weaker when he was off the field. (That is no disrespect to McIlorum).

Although I will say the criticism he received in his first few games for the club was fully justified and I've no doubt he has won over some of his critics after last nights performance.

Keep it up Piggy.
