Nothing to do with that. Regardless of how poor Salford might be, if the Noble doubters are correct re youth we will see next week.

There are so so many issues other than selection it is not even funny!

Stevie Wonder would not drop Tomkins or Ainscough so, regards youth he has to promote others after today against Salford and then retain them against Hudds to be even close to be proven right.

Yes, he does. Mossop and Pryce should get a run at least.

I would lose Carmont or Roberts. Depending on Pryce's fitness level. Roberts comes across as lazy, Carmont has been poor for most of the season.

Mossop would get in before Hansen or Joel next week for me.

Prescott for Fielden/Coley - again depending on fitness.

You would drop Carmont or Roberts for Pryce over Bailey? Why?

Mossop for Hanse i agree with.

Thought Fielden and Coley went well tonight, O'Carroll was poor.

Bailey has helped Sam through the last two games in defence. Pryce wouldn't offer him the same protection. Carmont & Roberts have yet to impress.

O'Carroll made a bad choice at the end of the first half. Fielden was okay, but it would be the strongest message Noble could send re players needing to step up. Coley was at best "ok".

How many tries did Leeds score down Baileys side, mainly due to him being caught out of position or simply stepped?

How dare you, that was all Goulding's fault.

Yes OK he dropped Smith for Tomkins but I think he would have been sacked by now had he not done so, so it isn't enough to convince me has has turned over a new leaf as regards player selection.

Obviously you don't like Noble, but you are just being completely blinded by your opinion of him with that statement.

Care to back up the above statement? I can back up my view.

1. Joel Tomkins. Only got an extended run when Lockers was injured last season. I don't know of anyone who thinks otherwise.

2. Ainscough. Picked when Mathers was suspended and overlooked all last season while Noble juggled players out of position particularly Colbon whom Ainscough looks miles better than. He was a star player in the junior international v the Aussies and had good games in the friendlies. Never got a chance.

3. Sam Tomkins. One game last season v 'Haven scoring 5 tries and never another chance. This season makes the side when McIllorum is suspended.

Tomkins and Ainscough have come into the team and slotted in right away. They were ready and IMO were ready for more than one and zero games last season respectively and I think this is proven by how they are playing now. There were plenty of chances last season to introduce them gradually which is what everyone kept saying Noble should do but this did not happen and now this season because needs must, they are getting back to back games!

It's as plain as the nose on your face that these players would not have got a look in had circumstances not dictated it and my opinion on this is based the evidence of what Noble has actually done (or rather not done) over the last two years with respect to young players. It's an opinion on his coaching not any dislike of Noble.
