You're clearly a part of a minority who has this opinion.
The majority of people including club & international coaches and those involved with the game as well supporters completely disagree with you.
I suggest for you to watch his game with more concentration and effort.
People appreciate that he makes mistakes, but he matches them and more with brilliant Rugby League play. If he didn't then he wouldn't be playing first team and international Rugby League whilst getting many man of the match awards in the process.
Sadly the brilliant attacking play doesnt make up for his numerous brain explosions which result in lost ball / penalties and knock ons and often lose us games.
If he had a brain he would be a dangerous player granted....but lets be honest, he doesnt!!! there is no sort of risk assessment in his play.
Anyone can run hard at the line and throw the ball anywhere ...sometimes it will make you look class / others make you look a fool (look at danny sculthorpe...a player very like hock in that respect/ except his ball retention was probably slightly better and he wasnt a penalty machine).
IMO hock if anything just about breaks even on his mistakes which gift trys to scoring ratio...and as such what is the point?!?! whatever he does well he negates by throwing silly balls, knocking on, running in with loose carries and giving away penalties!! yet wigan fans, in our despiration to find our next W class player- cling on to what he does well while all to often forget his shortcomings!!
The only way you will ever get a world class gaz hock is by a successful brain transplant!!! he simply lacks intelligence to play RL
Ps. Hock is a fringe International player at best. Even had he not been suspended last season....can anyone say with any certainty he would be picked for Eng?!! in all honesty I cant see Tony Smith being stupid enough to pick him for the 4 nations this year as there are far better back rowers in the game.
