I don't want to sound as though I'm bagging Hansen but I really do see it as an attitude thing. In my opinion, I don't think he is fully applying himself nor do I think he currently has the ambition to stand out from the rest and have something unique about him.
And the reasons for the above, again in my opinion, is because since the arrival of Feka and Leuluai he seems to be close friends and enjoy the company of a couple of fellow kiwis/islanders and is content to hold on to a first team place rather than standing out, being different and have that bit of unique style about him. At the end of the day, he was raised in Swinton and played for Folly Lane from being 8 or 9 maybe younger and he came through all the ranks at Wigan, yet since the arrival of fellow, young islanders and the inclusion of the Samoa squad he seems to have distanced himself from his roots & many team mates and you sometimes forget that he came through those ranks with Wigan.
I think he's got caught up with the Islander Rugby League lifestyle and enjoys that more than his Rugby League. A drop down into the reserves away from his ''homies'' and replace them with the type of lads he actually grew up playing along side will do him a world of good and could get rid of abit of arrogance and instead replace it with more ambition and determination.
A pretty controversial and personal post but it's my opinion.
