Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013 Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013 Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”
Any kind of 'unearned income' like cars, fuel, meals, car parking, housing, travel, holidays etc can all be included in an employee's taxable income, raising his gross earnings in value, so this would definitely affect the SC. As has already been said, it's a big difference between allowing a fast food outlet employee a burger and chips for dinner, and directing finely tuned athletes to a certain diet regime. A subsidised car park and canteen would be a very sensible way to reduce the club's exposure to a tax and SC issues. It would probably actually be cheaper for the players, rather than pay higher rate tax on these items.

it's not really food, but on the same sort of lines, does anyone know if wigan get their kit, and training kit washed by the club or do they have to do it themselves. just interesting as you would be laughed at in many other sports if you were told to take your kits home the players would laugh. However in RL its quite common that the players do take all their own gear home and wash it, Bradford players have everything done for them in this area.

Everything's done for them, no Kit washing for the players at Wigan!
