I thought we'd blown it again after Smith kicked the penalty, was it McIlorum who kicked the ball off the kicking tee ? Leeds players were screaming for a penalty and you'd have backed Sinfield to kick it, lucky escape or was it still time off ?

The referee had already called time off, so there was no advantage to Wigan, although it was a stupid thing to do.

I think we only played about 60-70% of our potential performance last night and yet we still should have won pretty comfortably with the two bombed tries by McIlorum and Sarginson. Once this team keeps hold of the ball and hit our straps not many sides will beat us. Much better last night but still think we were poor in patches of the game. At least there was a threat down the middle, and that's been the major worry for me as sides in the last few weeks knew we were always going wide in attack.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Well, within a short number of weeks, we have beaten the side thats said to be this seasons team to beat... Twice!

Talk all you like about "if and ands", the results are there...

I thought Wigan played well especially Bateman and Bowen.
Not sure you beat a very good Leeds side that had Hardaker, Briscoe, Sutcliffe, Achurch, Ward, JJB and Garbutt missing.
As for Leeds getting all the decisions I would say the Smith knock on for one of your try`s sort of conflicts your statement.
And Wigan were as guilty as Leeds for forward passes and not standing square.
But hey ho we move on.

Bateman is awesome, I love him. Matty Bowen must hate Leeds as well, he was the best player at Magic too. They didn't trouble us with any kicks and we scored from three(ish) which is both pleasing and worrying.

Negatives: Williams was very quiet, as was Burgess apart from his break. Joel looked a bit better at 2nd row but not much.

Agree with the post above though, Leeds are clearly still the most dangerous team in the league and are so dangerous. I still think they'll go on and win at least 1 trophy and contest both finals.

Williams needs pulling out of the firing line for a few weeks IMO. He's gone backwards in the last month or so and is very indecisive, choosing the wrong option of whether to pass or run time and time again. I thought he was really going to kick on at 6 following some of his performances earlier in the season but now I'm not convinced. I'd give Hampshire a go at 6 against Widnes and Hull FC.

Totally agree. Williams has lost form and taken a couple of bad knocks in the last couple of weeks and needs a rest. Would love to see Hampshire get a few games under his belt at stand off. Sadly I fear Wane will go with Powell who has offered nothing coming off the bench as Micky Macs understudy.

I should also add that I hate Bateman with a vengence and not sure if that is because he used to play for Bradford or that he is so flippin good now.
He is pretty good either in the pack or at centre and for me a better option for you at centre than Tomkins.
I am sure like someone has said Leeds will win at least one trophy most probably the Hubcap.
The CC is also doable and I would love to see a Wigan Leeds GF
I just hope Silverwood isn't the ref

hope mcilorum plays 80 mins in the rest of the big games this season. The difference is ridiculous.

Williams has been over played this season in my opinion. I have never seen a half back get tackled so much in one game as he did yesterday.

Clubb and Bateman are brilliant.

Can Bowen pretend he is playing Leeds every week?
