A Wigan fan using the 'wife is the best paid cleaner' line really is a hilarious irony, considering you guys were the innovators of such financial shenanigans..
Like 'Rads', the bloke looking to feather his own nest in the future, would tarnish the club, he'd be hoping to gain lucrative employment from, in his autobiography, hey??...
he released his book the same year as he got the job....you need to do better you clown ...so go on ill bite show me the evidence?
To be fair to Kris Radlinski (or any player), apart from if a player was directly involved, would he be aware of the individual intricacies of all the player's contracts or the financial workings and stability of the club?
It's like when you were putting together your great, star-laden sides of the 80's and 90's, were all those highly paid players fully aware that their transfer fees and wages were sending the club down a financial blackhole, that would eventually see you skint and having to flog your ground to Tesco?....I highly doubt it?

We speculated to accumulate. Wire have been doing the same for years although the accumulation part never materialised, maybe it will next year, you never know

Totally agree. You aren't the only club guilty of financial mismanagement, while chasing success. Bradford and Widnes are 2 big examples, where short periods of success have been followed by longer spells of being in the wilderness.
My original point, was that accusations that often get thrown Wire's way of trying to buy success, or of financial irregularities, are a bit cheap, as there likely are few clubs who haven't done similar in previous times.. I suppose our positive is that we haven't been caught out yet, which isn't saying the same for some other clubs?

The fact that Renouf was one of his best mates and was told they couldnt afford him anymore pretty much says they were paying his wife off the books otherwise they could have afforded him.....
