I know we are maxed up on the quota limit but it’s frustrating when we have such a lack of quality at centre and also ones in Superleague that Joey Leilua has signed for Fev. I know he’s a risk and he’s hard to get a tune out of but he reminds me a bit of Konrad Hurrell when he came over and he made the dream team and has done a decent enough job.

There are some very good reasons why no team in the NRL or SL has touched him.

Non of them are to do with his on field performance.

I’ve no reason to doubt what I’ve been told about him and whilst his actions are not necessarily illegal I certainly wouldn’t want him anywhere near Wigan.

When he was at Canberra, some Wigan supporters were all for him coming back to Wigan.

Amazing, how support for a player changes if they go another club instead!

Peet has stressed why he’s trying to get good people into the club. So this was a non starter.

Hurrell is dreadful too

Evidently, St Helens think otherwise!

With Gildart gone and Hardacre rumoured to be wanting out, what better experienced centres have we got?

Just Bibby, Thornley, Isa because of Bateman and Farrell in the second row, and rookie Halsall.

Perhaps, it was a class centre we needed to sign from the NRL instead of a prop forward of which we have enough!

Hurrell would make our 13 I have no doubt. He made the dream team
In his first season and has just been signed by the champions so others clearly don’t think he’s dreadful.

Have you watched him play/defend ?

Could go better with a familiar coach in Woolf but I’m sure Saints will have got him on the cheap as cover. Hopoate and Percival will be starting.

Hurrell will be used as an impact forward unless they have injuries in the centre.

The bloke does 2 knock ons, 3 missed tackles and has a brain fart for every good run he makes.

He’s a luxury player and one we quite rightly should have gone nowhere near.

If it were down to playing ability I’d be all over Lailua but it’s a club culture issue we need to focus on in regards him.

I really hope Peet's actions near that out. Like all SL clubs, we seem to be very willing to overlook bad character in players who have talent.
