Well aware of Wakefield, and he did a lot of damage. Particularly as he was legitimised by, amongst others, Private Eye, who wrongly championed his cause. And took quite some time to come to their senses about it.

Not a rumour however more a hope that we are keeping an eye on Ben Earl at Saracens. He has been on load at Bristol last year and looked like a stalwart of the England team for many years to come however it seems the currently philosophy is to go for the giants in the union backrows again.

He has expressed a desire to play rugby league and is a big fan of the game, he was even due to train with Leeds but it was cancelled due to Covid restriction.

The lad I feel could make a fantastic transition to league. He is 6'1" over 105kg and extremely dynamic a natural powerful athlete who I feel would make an excellent "middle" playing at 13 i could even see him playing in the centres. At only 24 and if more England opportunities don't materialise I would think he would be prime for an approach at the end of his current contract. in 2023. With the cap incentives to attract union players he could be a very astute pick up for a SL side with a bit of cash to spend.

I think teams get a dispensation for players coming from RU. Worth a look at.

Full salary year 1, 50% year 2 I think it is.

He unlike some others wouldn't take very long to adapt I don't believe. A few months as oppose to a full season.

Is that not for players returning from Union?

I thought first time RL players were free in year 1 and 50 % in year 2.

Read an article confirming Hardaker was looking for a move to a Yorkshire club because of the drive.

I get the vibe he’s just “putting up with it this year” and looking for the move next year.

Think Jai Fields Mrs is back in Aus and hes not particularly enjoying England and he’s “putting up with it” this year. With a look for a return to the NRL next year (already mentioned by Moley).

Bevan still an unknown on his return this year but certainly can’t see him being at Wigan in 2023.
