It's a two way street, but sadly for too long, the traffic has only been going one way.

I'm sick to my back teeth of this whole "big society" BS. Those vulnerable folk will happily let jobs and businesses go to the wall. Sod people who've invested years and everything they have into a business or career. Sod the people who live on their own and didn't have any meaningful contact with anyone during 2 lockdowns. Sod people who've just spent Xmas day + 6 others on their own.

The harsh truth is vulnerable people's illnesses are little to do with me. Much like paying my mortgage and what I want to do is of little concern to them. That's the fact of it and it's brutal, but it's true. I don't ask for their, or anyone's help, when I'm struggling so why do they get to ask it of me? Yet here they are calling for more lockdowns, more restrictions etc. F the world as long as it saves their skin.

The only credible answer is vaccination and infection. Actually vaccination and re-infection. That is the only answer full stop.
The latest news is that omicron gives protection against delta which is brilliant news.
MSM won’t advise this in the near future if ever.

All ask is a balanced view.
MSM want bad news and is manned by careerist rather journalists
Sorry I think journalists is a defunct word so we should describe them as commentators.

I think you'll find for many many pages a few of us have been saying that everyone needs to ge vaccinated wherever possible (I.e. no health issues with being vaccinated) and wear masks (again when medically ok to do so) when appropriate as per guidelines (irrespective ofnwhat you may personally think of those guidelines)

Your little rant at MSM tells me a little more about your stance.
Strange how people who don't trust/like/read the MSM seem to know so much about what they're saying/writing

Numerous people have posted things as FACT about masks, omicron, etc as fact when they aren't and don't like it when challenged to provide evidence.

I don’t see/hear many, if anybody calling for lockdowns or even more restrictions tbh. What I do see and hear is people saying it would be beneficial if those who can get a vaccine and who can wear a mask (without any medical barriers being in the way for them) do so and that might just play it’s part in helping us all avoid the inconvenience of living under tighter measures going forward.

I can’t get my head round those people who refuse a vaccine, refuse to wear a mask but then complain when any other measures are put in place or are rumoured to be coming in. It’s just a sad fact of life that sometimes you can’t have it all.

Wow
I don’t rant Jukes unlike you. You rant with regularity. You post in capitals to state you certainty with monotonous regularity.
What’s your stance?. What’s your solution?.. you never give it. Spit it out.
Point me to a balanced review in MSM on COVID over the last 24 months. They can’t because of ofcom regulations. Am I wrong? Am I lying?
I’m vaccinated and advise vaccination.
Omicron gives protection against delta. Have MSM issued that statement yet?

Correct, there is no way that vaccinations can be administered to everyone in the world.

I also offer Bubonic Plague which, wait for it, is believed to have originated in China! There are still cases in the world today, almost 700 years after it originated.

100% it's just a cold & even that's "bigging" it up.

How do I know this? I've wasted 7 days of my life over Xmas (complete with 2x positive LF tests and a positive PCR test) for something that was as potent as a weak hangover for a max of 48hrs.

No sarcastic quips to put down the opinion of others. No need to listen to the word of mouth from friends & no need to listen to experts. I'll take my own, lived experience. Thankfully the gov seem to have woken up, in the right way for once, and are resting calls for lockdown.

I’ve never understood this point of view, on anything really.

Basically it’s a stance that says it didn’t affect me too badly ergo it’s a load of nonsense.

I’m not sure that’s how it works.

And in the main I agree with that - I’d like to see the proof that mask wearing is effective (that’s a sincere request BTW) and as I was asked earlier by someone else the proof lockdowns don’t work is that COVID is still here.

But what next? When the vaccination uptake levels out, no more people want it, what do we do then? Carry on banging on about infections/hospitalisations? Have a certain section of society call for lockdowns and restrictions continuously? No.

We simply must live with COVID, there’s literally no other option. Wear a mask if you want, it makes no odds to my life. But eventually it should be treated as per flu would be and is. Life moves on and it’s time we started catching up with it.

FWIW I’m not into this ‘MSM media’ agenda nonsense, nor am I an avid watcher of YouTube videos, Twitter posts, Facebook nonsense. They’re all dangerous rabbit holes to fall into. I’m coming at this from the realistic angle of COVID is here to stay and life must continue. Are some people going to die? Yes. But equally, as raised by you, are people going to die in car accidents? Yes. Do we ban all cars?

I can’t see there being anymore lockdowns but if there are I won’t be abiding by it. Police can quite gladly knock at my door, I simply won’t be answering or allowing entry to my home. I’m getting on with enjoying my life and I suggest everyone else does the same too.
