It seems almost certain Bateman is going and has been said by numerous people on forums and in the press, he’s just re-iterating this but also caveating it by saying it’s not signed thus giving him and out if he stays. Also if Wigan get rid of a marquee signing of course it’s almost a guarantee they will sign someone else.
Exactly, he just chucks vague statements about then demands credit and recognition when they come off despite most of not all being in the public domain. He has even referenced himself in an attempt to show he is in the know.
When I called his bluff I got a private message accusing me of being someone “in the know and clearly connected to a club” and then blocked me from replying.
You don’t have to be Nostradamus to anticipate Bateman is going or that Wigan would look to replace him in the squad.
What he does though is put in caveats to give him an out if it doesn’t happen.
Saying go for MaKMeeken is as realistic as say go for Munster as he has a long term deal in place so it’s not going to happen.
He dies though get people very excited on that forum it has to be said.
I’m calling it now Bateman will go and we will sign someone.
