Thinking ahead to Wardle, what an opportunity for him to be England’s main centre for the next decade after Watkins performance and Newman being made of biscuit.

Given he has another year on his Roosters deal I don’t see anyway he would come over to SL on anything less than a multi year contract.

He should have been playing instead of Watkins, who has been playing 2nd row all season for Salford.

he's probably not played well enough to warrant selection this season though. Not helped by falling out with Hudds / Watson and then playing in a poor wire side

re Watkins, he's had a fantastic season at Salford, but i think he's probably a yard too slow for centre at the top level, hence his move to 2nd row

bit of an update on the Mago rumour from the warriors fans forum

Mago was offered to Wakey but pulled back as Bateman off to Oz (fan speaking to Wakey chairman at weekend)

Wardle is a left sided centre. Going forward he will be competing with Farnworth for a centre spot.

It’s players like Newman we need to get fit who is a natural right sided centre.
