Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.
this is not a dig, setting up a club within a club has it's problems especially in light of recent changes in the law, what happens if a member of your ultra/ brigantes commits a crime whilst at a match? the law can arrest other members who just stand by and watch. hence the question who decides what's acceptable in your group and what's not?::
its not a club as far as i know....its a set of guys raising money for flags (and charity), and standing together at games to sing etc.
tbh if i was one of these guys, who had put their hands in their pockets on many occasions, and put in a lot of effert in their own time, i would be reading a majority of posts in this thread and thinking...."why the heck did i bother"

Maybe, or maybe they may actually read and understand people's concerns and realise they are nothing to do with raising money for flags, raising money for charity or for that matter standing together at games.
it sounds like i'm being flipant, but let me reasure you i'm not. one poster on here offered to identify the graffitti artist's via his facebook page, what's next march on his house with pitchforks and burning torches. who decides how far things go, what's wrong or right, would you have closed ranks if the person in question was a true brigante/ ultra rather than some pesky football fan?
People on this thread have said that the group are being policed? By whom and in what way? What happens if one of the group has afew too many sherberts and does something they shouldnt. will they be dealt with in the same way as the moron with the paint can?
This is the problem with self policing, it very often leads to one rule for us and one rule for everyone else
I assume the person has been banned from future matches? or is there a sliding scale set up by the ultra board of directors?
Been banned by who ?, the club (that's their decision), or, the 'brigantes' (who have no power to ban anyone from the DW), the matter has been dealt with, the 'culprit' has been admonished, if you need any more information please attend the next meeting (time and date with be announced on here), thank you.

it appears your group facilitated the banning of one person by naming and shaming him to the club, did you do the same with the flare culprit by notifying the RFL or hull kr (was it there? can't remember specifics)

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

what do you mean by admonished?
admonish · v. reprimand firmly. Ø earnestly urge or warn. – DERIVATIVES admonishment n. admonition n. admonitor n. admonitory adj. – ORIGIN ME amonest ‘urge, exhort’, from OFr. amonester, based on L. admonere ‘urge by warning’.
If this matter was dealt with by the club, perhaps you should ask them...
