Jake Shorrocks has no position, he’s a fit, strong, skilful, disciplined athlete but has no position. From the same school as Sam Powell in that hes a grafter but no urgency in attack and no position, luckily for Powell the 9 position came available. We cannot keep Powell, Smithies and Shorrocks in the same team because there are the same style of player.

Disagree. Smithies is a good step up from Powell and Shorrocks. .

Joe Shorrocks. Jake Shorrocks is a scrum half at Toulouse.
And they’re not related.

Catching up on NRL360.

Buzz basically confirmed what we already thought. Wigan despite demanding a transfer fee were quite happy to let Bateman go as his form was way off from his 2018/19 peak.


Non Wigan related but Crawley suggested today if the Tigers miss out on Moses (which they are likely to) they might/should go for George Williams, Kenty seemed to indicate there had been talks between Warrington and Wests but they want a transfer fee.

Moses would surely be crazy to go to the Tigers. But then, I never understand why top players sign for basement clubs (The Fox, anyone?).

Williams to West's 2024 is what I was told 6 weeks ago

I think he’s been pretty open that he fancied another crack and how it was basically Covid that brought him back. That World Cup showing highlighted just what a top player he can be when he’s switched on. I’m not sure there was a better performing halfback across the whole tournament.
