If anybody wanted to take a punt on George Burgess, I think they’d want to see that he’s been working hard on his fitness and that it’s something that’s clearly in his mind and not a throw away comment. I watched the Bye Round podcast the other day, with James Graham and he mentioned how you can tell him and Tom apart now because of how much heavier he is. That’s not to say he’s looking like a couch potato but he’s probably 20 odd stone of bulk now and to get match ready would be some task.

A no from us and from most, if not all, of the other clubs I would imagine.

We should find more out on who has and hasn’t signed contracts pretty soon. I think the clubs need to release a list of who is still available at some point don’t they? It usually tells you who has been offered terms and who hasn’t across each club.

Just spent an hour (thanks for that) going through my posts around the time Burgess signed in July 2019. At no point did I state he would be the best prop in SL. My posts on him were positive and hopeful. Like 99.9% of the posts on the official signing thread at the time. In fact many rival supporters (Warrington and Saints) remarked they were envious at the time of the signing. Oh, by the way by scouring these posts back in 2019 "TheWarringtonWolve69" didn't exist as a poster. But Steph Curry did. Strange that.
