Savelio is the furthest thing for a Wigan player going.

Fake tough guy, inconsistent effort, lacks humility.

We’re okay at back row for this season IMO between Faz, KPP, Isa, Nsemba and Shorrocks.

Need to sign a starter for next year though. In the Ma’tautai and Sironin mold. Fitzgibbon or O’Donnell could fit the bill.

The last sentence is massive. Other clubs could probably offer more cap but the chance to develop in our environment could lead to 2/3 more decent contracts for the lad.

Agree with your assessment of the pack. Eseh and Trout would be perfect.

Add a veteran prop and backrow and we’ll be laughing.

I’d rather us sign Andy Powell than Andre Savelio, I’ve had tougher bog roll.

I agree with Jonh with the Owen Trout and Eseh signings, to replace Mago and Silva.

Can’t sign a player who like to call himself ‘Dre’ even if he’s a World beater (which he’s not).

Trout for this season and a couple from Thompson (risky though), Satae, Fitzgibbon and O’Donnell for next would rebuild that pack nicely after the exits of Bateman and then Singleton, Mago and KPP. Throw in somebody like Eseh as a fringe player/long term prospect and we’ll have had a good off season.

Essen is my kind of prop.
He will get suspensions but he will let opposition players know that he is on the pitch.
Definitely worth a punt. I’d offer Mago tomorrow in exchange If I thought we could get him for the rest of the season.

I think Isa also enjoyed the “joust”.
