Not a fan of bringing players back, they never seem the same but an English prop coming into his prime I'd make an exception for.

He’s playing reserve grade at Canterbury. They’re not a very good side, so that’s surprising.

Ryan is settled in Australia so I can’t see him returning any time soon.

I think Sutton has been out injured and came back in the NSW Cup team this week, he will be playing for the Dogs in the NRL shortly I’m sure.

Listening to a few podcasts with the Dogs coaching staff they were all raving about him and his attitude, a throwback forward who epitomises the old school attitude they were trying to bring back to the club.

I definitely don’t think he will be leaving and as you say once he gets back to fitness he will be a regular in the 17.

Fair enough, I’d read somewhere he just wasn’t getting picked, which seemed strange as a new signing and in a poor side.

He seems more than happy over there. I think he got Aussie citizenship as well IIRC. Fair play to the lad, it seemed like his mind had been made up to go to Oz at a very young age and at least Wigan knew where they stood.

Yeah, I’m hoping for more info, not seen a lot of him and it’s a little worrying that he’s not been able to nail a place down at Leeds but if you read social media a lot of their fans are up in arms about him not playing and also leaving, I have also seen a lot of people commenting saying he’s going Saints not Wigan.

We were after him at the same time as we were in for KPP. Looked like we had them both but Leeds stole a march on us at the 11th hour and secured him whilst we maybe prioritised KPP.

He is a secondrow in my opinion not a prop. I think he will directly replace KPP and I think we will also replace Bateman in the coming offseason too.

He’s very tall (obviously) and a decent wide runner with an offload.

He probably lacks the natural athleticism of KPP but I would argue he has more natural toughness and enjoys the physicality more than him.

His offload is more orthodox than KPP but it’s still a very effective tool and he has the ability to play at the line.

Hits the ball at pace well from the ruck.

Thanks for that, a route to the 13/17 looks a lot easier as a second rower, maybe he can fill out and become a front rower in the future? I do feel we need a senior second rower to come in, probably need a prop too but this seems a good signing to start off with.
