I’m meaning to cover Havard and KPP, I agree we could do with an extra body (still haven’t replaced Bateman) but it’s not our style to pay transfer fees, although it does make sense to try and get Walters early as he can cover both positions.

I thought Rocky had a good game. First game back after a big injury, he linked well with Smith, provided a running threat, and a smart assist .

His pace around the back of scrums added an extra threat for Leeds to think about rather than just French.

Agreed think he went ok.

I noticed a couple of times gaps opened and he went for it but couldn’t quite convert, and was left thinking if Field was in that position he scored that.

That’s no dig at Rocky but it highlights how important Field is for us with his running threat.

I think the Walters move is one they’ll be pushing for. Whether Leeds will play ball is another matter. Not all clubs take the view Wigan do, of doing the right thing for a players career/development. We let Nicholson go early knowing he wouldn’t be playing here and it being pointless then holding him back.

Different situation, but we also let Hardaker leave on a free - despite the money/time we'd invested in him.

Are we the only ones who do this kind of thing? Seems pretty pointless if others don't play the game too?

Yes, my original post said Hill and Nsemba to come in and i was questioned about Nsemba covering Havard but I was meaning KPP as well. Just pointing out I don’t think we are desperate to bring someone in (although it would be nice).

We wouldn’t have got anything for Hardaker I don’t think and it was better to get rid rather than deal with the potential unrest. Nicholson is very similar to Walters though, i think Peet was so vexed off with that deal and that he was leaving he just wanted him out of the door.
