Come on then, point me in the right direction.

And as for yesterday, I accept when I asked you to point me in the right direction about where I should get my info from and you responded I rate etc I thought you were talking about some news outlet/source and that was the name of it.

But I did ask for where i should.get my Info from I.e news outlet, and like Mattyb is asking I'll ask again as well.
Where should I be getting it from

PS
A lot of people mistake hearing things they don't like for mis information or biase.

The Government/Tories have done a great job of discrediting the MSM (BBC in particular) and somehow making a lot of people believe it's some lefty/snowflake/socialist/marxist etc. (You get the picture), organisation.
When it's as centrist as it can be on most subjects, discredited as left wing by the right when it exposes/reports on anything they don't want. And In reverse the far left when it doesn't criticise the right for absolutely everything

The bbc was my go to for current affairs every time .
R4 in the morning going work, Newsnight 4 nights a week and Question Time every Thursday.
Cracking and informative. Yikes if there was a good panel on question time I would tape it.

I don’t watch any of those programmes anymore. Haven’t done for years.
Stale and not very informative. Poor journalism particularly Newsnight.

I still do the 10 o’clock news with the bbc but find the format too restrictive and if I’m honest 30 minutes for national and international news just isn’t long enough on many occasions.

I bought and read The Guardian for 35 years. For me the best English Newspaper by a country mile.
Bought the Mirror for Saturday racing and The Daily Express when I wanted a laugh.
If there was no decent sport on a Sunday then I’d happily devour The Sunday Times for hours at a time.
I never buy a newspaper anymore unless it’s The Racing Post.
You couldn’t pay me enough money to read The Guardian these days. From The Jewel in the Crown to a rag.
I get my news updates via The bbc on my phone. It’s short and concise and keeps me up to date for little effort.

In short I struggle to the point now where I don’t really consider myself a person overly interested in current affairs anymore. Maybe it’s an age thing.

What the sh*te are you on about? I was being sarcastic.

Of course they work. I’ve had my 3. But then again, I’m not a selfish cretin who loves to gain ‘look at me’ points on Bookface.

Anyway, why we're having a moan. I got e-mailed to register for track and trace as I I had been identified as having been in contact with someone who had tested positive for covid, no name(s) provided but I know it was my son who tested positive on New Years Eve. He's not a happy bunny!

Dad can you bring my guitar up to my room along with my play station and my firestick?

The moan, I've already registered on the NHS app, so every bit of information they need for the track and trace , NHS number, number of vaccines, types of vaccine, dates etc are available to them
Why are they are they not interactive?

Why in this day and age do we not have a National Identity card/record linked to our national insurance number/ NHS number/ passport number etc?

I haven’t looked up mask effectiveness but I will do,

They are not totally effective. My daughter caught it and she works in a hospital where everyone wears a mask unless they are eating or drinking. Prior to testing positive on a Saturday she worked 9am-7:30pm Mon-Wed, stayed at home doing housework (she lives alone) Thursday, and 9-7:30 on Friday. Other than the hospital, she went absolutely nowhere and saw nobody outside of work. No shops, takeaways.

With the money that has been thrown at, and is still being thrown at the NHS we should have the best IT system in the world. We should also have the best facilities and treatment but unfortunately we sadly don't. Successive governments and NHS management should be accountable but both seem fireproof.

Regarding the NHS IT system, I received an email several weeks ago asking me to book my booster appointment online. When I attempted to do so, I received a message informing me that, 'I was no longer able to do so as I had previously declined a vaccination'. This could not be more incorrect, I have never turned down a vaccination for anything! I immediately raised my issue and guess what, I haven't even had the courtesy of a reply. I therefore took matters into my own hands and arranged to have the booster at another location, my records have still not been updated. The biggest worry is that thousands of individuals could find themselves in the same position. The NHS is not fit for purpose it is simply broken, we have some great people working for it but they are being led by donkeys.

On another matter, could somebody please explain to me how the government and SAGE are so sure that Covid numbers are increasing when there is a shortage of testing kits?

Ignore the media and check out what the experts are saying. You could try: Dr. Martin Kulldorff, professor of medicine at Harvard University; Dr. Sunetra Gupta, professor at Oxford University; Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor at Stanford University Medical School; Professor Carl Heneghan at Oxford University for starters.

Cheers. Been following Carl Heneghan on twitter throughout, he can share stuff that's a bit 'too wordy' for me and have struggled to follow some of it.

I've also been following cancer Prof. Karol Sikora throughout, a voice of reason over the last 18 months. One of his main concerns has always been the lack of focus on identifying hidden cancer cases. He's had a dogs abuse unfortunately like, seems a decent chap.

My missus had a similar problem... messages telling her to book a booster when she'd already had one weeks before and her records not being updated. A call to 119, where you actually talk to a helpful human being, sorted it.
