Playing games has improved no end. He seems the type who is as fit as a fiddle, has a big workrate and therefore he needs long minutes to show his best. We never saw that here because of the depth we had. As you say, I’m pleased for him.

You can’t help but be excited about Walters, do think he can do a job through the middle or the edges, has shown some good hands tonight. Leeds on the whole have been brilliant, such a strange season, how can these lose to Wakefield with a man more 2 weeks ago and then do this, vice versa how can Warrington capitulate after such a good start. I honestly think 9 teams have some sort of chance of making the grand final.

He was the most impressive forward on the field for mine (although Cam Smith is also excellent). Looking to be a great bit of business.

Great signing Walters (unfortunately) big lump but at a great age to further develop. He was very good last night. He also has that bit of grubbiness about him that means fans of other teams will hate him but he'll be a fans favourite for Wigan fans.

I dislike him immensely and he hasn't even pulled on the cherry and white yet

I think he’s gone ok for them to be fair.

I didn’t think he would cope with the physicality of SL but he seems to have adapted very well.

I think he would be useful in most squads as the 3rd of 3 wingers and he is only going to improve.

I think the step up from part-time to full-time has meant he has struggled at times. He said himself that it was a huge shock to his system and a jump in standards. He's gone well at times and at other times has looked out of his depth

The negative for him is that he has been playing outside of different centres most weeks on the left. Percival has been inured and Hopoate has played there with Davies for the odd game too. If he had played on the right all season outside Hurrell I think he would have scored quite a few tries as Makinson has done.

This season our attack has been heavily right side dominant and the left side has barely had a look in. Normally with a lot of teams its the other way round. I think with Makinson still missing for a few more games he may find himself on the right hand side.
