Tom Ratchford is an ex Judes lad, his dad played a few games for Wigan in the 70s.

Would go very nicely as a 13 in my opinion.

The publicity would also be fantastic for the club and the code much more than a 5 minute novelty.

He is arguably one of if not the most recognised rugby player on the planet.

His long kicking and goal kicking would be great but Smiths long kicking game is good so I’m not sure we need an upgrade. Goal kicking would certainly be a needed upgrade.

The issue is with only having 1 long kicker they are a target. Put 2 in a team and you have options either side of the ruck.

Ideally you want your hooker to have it in his toolkit as well.
