It's a very good point. But Wigan seem to have generally had the edge with recruitment thus far but so we should - we have a lot to offer as a club and some impressive individuals who can sell it.

I say this about once a month but I’d love Tom Davies back as a Miski replacement after next year - both off contract end of next year.

Absolutely. I saw some talk of a rumour they might let him go for next season but surely not. He’s been unbelievable tonight.

Agreed.

From memory we offered him a deal but he opted to go to Catalan because he would be a guaranteed starter.

This is Davies' reasoning at the time in case it's of interest.

'There are so many good wingers at Wigan that I couldn’t guarantee game-time and the way that Wigan were playing didn’t suit my style. I have total respect for Adrian Lam and what he’s trying to do, but it didn’t fit with the kind of player that I am.'

All the Wigan lads were great last night to be fair. Tomkins showed his experience with his in game management, Micky Mac was his usual combative, niggly in your face self and Davies looked a threat all night.

If Davies does want to come back to the NW I'd be hoping Saints would be in for him as we are desperate for a winger and he is a quality one.
