Great servant for our great club always gave 100% personally I didn't think he did enough running from dummy half as a hooker should do. We will be better with Leeming and O'Neil. But wish Sam all the best and thanks for the memories

What I like is that nepotism hasn't been factor as it always has been previous, we've made a rugby decision.

Newcastle apparently unhappy at Wigan that KPP's foot injury may need surgery - reported he was having pain killing injections in the last few games.

You have to laugh. What did they expect? Wigan to rest him, just so he’d definitely be fit for new club? They’re unbelievable these NRL clubs.

It's not as if they were paying a transfer fee as his contract had ended.

He was still a Wigan player, not Newcastle, so what happened during that time is completely between Wigan and KPP and they would have no effect on the outcome. Could they have cancelled his contract on these grounds? Would they? I very much doubt it so the outcome would be the same regardless. Besides they must have had some knowledge of him carrying an injury as everybody else knew, as the article states it is the reason he wasn't playing for England. Sounds like Newcastle moaning for the sake of moaning for me.
