I think Orford or someone of his calibre (eg Cooper Cronk-just using him as an example) would be perfect for us next season as it would allow us to use Leuluai as a 2nd hooker and it is also likely Smith will go back to the NRL
Also one of either Karmichael Hunt or Anthony Minichello would be fantastic but it is unlikely so we will probably see Roberts at full back with Pryce on the wing and Goulding inside him
A top class prop is an absolute must, there are quite a few good props off contract at the end of 09 but I think the idea of FuiFui MoiMoi and Feka rotating evry 20 minutes is frighteningly good. Luke Bailey or Andy Lynch would also be fantastic if we couldn't get FuiFui.
I think our starting line up next season depends an awful lot of the development of Shaun Ainscough and Sam Tomkins. If they get a decent amount of games and do well we could well see them in our 17 permanently next season but with the way Noble is bringing them through this also looks very unlikely
So ideally the team for 2010 would be
1. Hunt
2. Roberts
3. Pryce
4. Carmont
5. Richards
6. S. Tomkins
7. Orford
8. Fielden
9. Piggy
10. FuiFui
11. Hansen
12. Lockers
13. J. Tomkins
14. Feka
15. Prescott/Eamon
16. Tommy
17. Hock
Reserves: Mossop, Ainscough, Farrell, Prescott/Eamon etc
But it is more likely to be
1. Roberts
2. Pryce
3. Goulding
4. Carmont
5. Richards
6. Smith/?
7. Tommy
8. Fielden
9. Piggy
10. New Prop/Prescott/Eamon
11. Hansen
12. Tomkins
13. Lockers

I doubt a prop will be signed next season, if a deal was to be done I'd expect it through the course of this season.
By next season I'd say Prekky and Eamon should be experienced enough to hold their own weekly in SL, allowing Ben Davies to come into the first team more.

I think Roberts will be our long term fullback tbh, he wasnt even supposed to be here this year but became available so maybe he is a replacement for mathers:
Roberts
Pryce
Goulding
Carmont
Richards
Tomkins/New Signing (think Smith will go back)
Leuluai
Fielden
Riddell
New Signing
Hansen
Tomkins
O'Loughlin
Hock
Feka
McIlorum
O'Carroll
Prescott
Ainscough
Mossop
Farrell
etc..........
Anyway enough with next year talk its only round 2 this weekend
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

I think the first team there is an option, as we could sign a new half-back to partner Tomkins and have LeuLuai at hooker.
When does Fieldens contract run out? I am not certain he will be rewarded with a new one unless he takes a pay cut.
Is Carmont likely to be here next year as well?
We need some really good signings for next season, other wise we will stay as an average team who just has a good play-off series at the end of the season.
We need to make signings for next season during this summer, but I worry that if Noble does not get a new contract at the end of this season, then the new coach would not have chosen his own players. We need to be aiming high for players but I dont think we should be looking overseas for the forwards at all. We need the overseas class in the backs.

to all off you wigan fans who want myler how many games have you seen this lad play.i am a salford fan and have seen him 1 st hand excellent in nl1 last year albeit against very poor oppostition apart from celtic.in 2 games against super league oppostion not that good against hull kr a wigan lad called stefan ratchford changed the game and now cant get in the team if you want a half back to play alongside tomkins go for this lad because in my opion mcrae doesny like stefan.he also tore k eastmond apart for the 21s on sunday.
I saw ratchford a couple of times last season..he looked very useful.....but he's not an aussie or overseas player..so Noble won't be interested.

Stef's a good player but has yet to break into the first team at Salford let alone establish himself at Super League.
The same goes for Myler, by all means he is a very good prospect but he has to show consistant form before being considered a top Super League player.

Myler & Ratchford are better off where they are, they will develop and will be allowed to develop at the right rate far more so than at Wigan. I doubt our current set up would have had the vision or balls to promote either at the rate they have been had they been with us. Huntey has done a cracking job for Salford. We are speculating about bringing in an 18 year old when we struggle to find a place in the 17 for our home grown Tomkins et al, a bit embarrassing really.
