Probably because while O'Loughlin was injured for a few months last season, Tomkins filled in at Loose Forward and was probably our best player.
.i just dont see the logic in swapping them.oloughlin is more of a ball playing loose than joel and joel is more of a running second row than oloughlin.i think both are suited to the position there already playing.there individual strengths compliment both there positions.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
Yeh, I would actually have Moran back to play prop instead of Coley, Moran just used to end up running at the line anyway and dropping to the floor just like Coley does.
1 Pat Richards 2 Amos Roberts 3 Phil Bailey 4 George Carmont 5 Sean Ainscough 6 Tim Smith 7 Tommy Leuluai 8 Eamon O'Carroll 9 Michael McIlorum 10 Stuart Fielden 11 Harrison Hansen 12 Joel Tomkins 13 Sean O'Loughlin
14 Gareth Hock 15 Paul Prescott 16 Feka 17 Sam Tomkins
No place for Riddell, Phelps, Daryl, Coley, Karl Pryce or Mathers. None of em deserve to play right now.
not by me you wont.......thats exactly the line up i would start with.
none of the ones you mention deserve a place.......make em earn it.
Andy Coley Harvey Howard Stephen Holgate Francis Stephenson Brady Malam Brett Goldspink Jerry Seu Seu
God we've had some BELTERS!
I wouldn't want Jerry Seu Seu in any 'worst of' lists.
Possibly the bravest, most courageous player Wigan have had. I know for a fact his knee injury was far more serious than most people knew - it was a miracle he was even playing at all for us late 05 and 06.
