Just a question have we been here before regards 1 off performances?
Did the tactics employed tonight highlight exactly what the Noble doubters have been calling for?
The stupidity of claiming Noble is suddenly a great coach after 1 good performance in the face of 4 poor ones blows my mind.
As i said i am happy to offer praise tonight as he deserves it given that performance, just as other performances have deserved criticism.
As i said earlier the people who seem to accuse me of having an inflated ego and agendas certainly seem to be trying to plump there own tonight.

LOL
You are now making yourself look VERY silly. I would stop posting for tonight if I were you.
ONE performance?
We are talking about the most successful coach in SL history.

No. It highlighted what can be achieved when the players follow the gameplan.

| Quote XBrettKennyX="XBrettKennyX"Let's not.
Let's point and laugh at the posters who were calling for Noble's head.
Let's laugh at the thought that they actually thought that they knew more about coaching and RL than he did.
Let's laugh at the egg on the face of the above posters.
Let's also point to the fact that it's only March. Noble's teams generally "kick on" around August/Sept time.
It's going to be funny to cut and paste some of the posts made by some posters as this season unfolds.
Let's do that shall we?'"
How about no?
How is there egg on anyone’s faces? Three pathetic performances against teams we should have either beat or literally destroyed, a scrappy win against Quins and an excellent win against what was a poor Bradford team and all of a sudden everything is rosy in the Garden? I really don’t think so. I can’t believe how easily pleased some fans are- guess that’s it we are gonna win the league eh?
I’m sorry but I’m still not happy and won’t be till we put a decent continuous run together. We all know this team can win against the likes of Bradford, Leeds, Warrington as we’ve been doing it for a few seasons now but it’s no good beating these then failing to beat Castleford, Wakefield & Hull KR is it! Or are you happy with one or two big wins then utterly pathetic shower of e performances like the Cas or Wakefield ones cause I’m not!!
Oh and please stop going on about how it only matters later in the comp. I want to watch my team win every week and play well for the majority of the season not two or three games at the end of the season. Any coincidence Leeds and Saints have been the two most consistent teams week in week out and they are the two who have contested the GF?
Noble is starting to turn it round but to suddenly suggest all is forgiven for the poor performances we’ve seen so far this season apart from tonight is laughable.

If History was all that mattered Ian Millward would still be coach at Wigan.
I have no interest on what he did at Bradford, for me his time at Wigan should be judged on just that, not what he did wth another club.
Tonight was a big tick against his name, happy to commend him as i have said, lets hope it is finally the start of something positive for the club.

Do you think the game plan tonight has been more or less the same as it has been for the previous 4 games?

In some regards yes. But with a fit hooker and a capable stand off the difference in execution was evident.

The sad thing is you can see some people sat watching the game tonight itching to get away to have a pop at those on here who have criticised Noble rather than enjoying the performance.

I agree those 2 aspect would significantly help, but the game plan of support runners, cutting angles and the expansive play from all our players clearly was not sent out with them in the first 4 games.

Perhaps based on the points above. We now have the tools so to speak and Noble's task is now to ensure consistency and put a run together.

Shame it’s either black or white with the pro Noble brigade isn’t it. How dare anyone pick faults in either his tactics or team selection.
We are still on three loses and two wins which for the teams we've played against isn't good enough. The team is getting better which is a massive positive but it's still not all hunky dory as some fans seem would have you believe.
I'll be the first one to hold my hand and say Noble has taken us to the next level when we put a good run together as we haven't done this under BN yet.
Noble was forced to play Ainscough and Tomkins. Anyone who doesn't believe it only has 2 look at his selections for the first game of the season to see what Noble's starting team when all on 'form' is.
