All tomkins did for his tries was pick up loose balls and use his pace.

Pretty sure Tomkins made a fantastic break with a nice run against the play dummy pass and steady hand off. Not loose balls.

I was being pedantic.

And yes I would like to see Richie Myler at Wigan.

However, would it be good for the game.

Wasn't the salary cap and Super League all about spreading the talent around to make it more competitive?

But have we got our share? :?

He isn't going to write an article saying Tomkins is better than Myler.

I think Myler is the better player at the moment but that maybe down to the amount of games he's played, Tomkins was found out a little when facing a decent side in Leeds, although I expect Tomkins to be a feature of the Wigan and England set-up for many years.

But neither of our backs played particularly well because we didn't have much ball. You can't get noticed if you don't have the ball.

When he did have the ball he made errors and didn't do much. He is a class act though.

Only one loose ball did Tomkins pick up on. His first try was from an offload from Bailey and he beat the fullback and winger to the tryline.

He read the game well on both occasions and demonstrated his speed off the mark.

Richie Myler came out of his line on a number of occasions and left big gaps in Salford's defense - one leading to a try IIRC.

Edit: I was correct Wigan's first try. Myler is way out of the defensive line.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

He also missed the tackle on O'Louglin that led to Ainscoughs second try.
