I don't think Cas did.

The Cas game last year IIRC was the first home game of the season and their first back in Superleague.

They did not even open the North Stand for Huddersfield thats how few they brought. Wakefield brought a few more than normal would say about 500 Cas about the same maybe a 100 or so more.

All told i dont think all 3 combined brought more than 1600 to the JJB maybe Mat could give us an idea how many they all brought.

A purple patch inspired on his home ground by man of the match WIGAN CAPTAIN Sean O’Loughlin produced three tries in an eight-minute spell just before half-time, and the GB Lions added two more after the break to maintain Smith’s 100 per cent record as Great Britain
coach.

Sat 27th April 2002 St Helens 12 Wigan 21 Edinburgh - Sat 4th May 2002 Celtic 2 Rangers 3 Glasgow (Carlsberg dont do weeks, but if they did.....)

I think we're advertising in the blue half of Glasgow and going to call ourselves Wigan Rangers for the game.

Then the marketing team are going to randomly call the game "The UEFA Cup Final"

Anything else may not work .........

Now that is an idea, two crap teams with effortless players rolled into one.

The Crusaders game at home will be nowhere near 15.000, being on a sunday is a minus point too believe it or not. look at the season opener

I reckon wakey n cas brought 1000 each - if that stand holds 5000 - definitely 20% full - or 80% empty :)

Well you do have to play on a Friday night at 8pm. Don't you think away support is affected by this

Yes, doesn't get that busy with it being a minor road an' all :)

Seriously though, getting home from work and dashing 75 miles down the M62 on a Friday night is a push.

Your crowds are fantastic but they would be even better if you played on a Sunday afternoon!

We've tried that and it didn't work. Our best crowds are on Friday night. I much prefer night matches anyway.

Well if they're better on a Friday what's the point in dissing the away support

Sunday games do attract a better following of away fans, not a regular option for Wigan but you'd do well to put a few sunday games in when the Soccer season ends :)
