The annoying thing will be sitting next to a gobspite from Thatto Heath looking across at the empty seats in the Wigan end as everybody who didn't get fixed up today has bought tix elsewhere
I went on last night and the website is painful, managed to get tickets on the third tier of the West stand for £30, looking at the stadium plan you would think it’s gonna be a bumper crowd but I just don’t believe that, I’d imagine 50kish will be the attendance.
Just thought to hell with it and bought more expensive tickets in the North stand (closer to the West than East). I hope all that's left in the Wigan allocation are the ones in the sky but I'm fully expecting them to suddenly release a few thousand perfectly good West stand seats in the morning.
Bought 6 tickets, f**k knows where we're going to end up sitting, 2 kids who can't be on their own, seems like a ridiculous system in place. Can see this ending up being a mass ticket swapping exercise towards the end of the week. Hey ho, sure it will all work out in the end.
I've been out of town all day, and I wasn't even going to think about tickets until tomorrow, but just now, I thought, I'd better have a look. So going into the link on the club website, all I'm seeing is Coach Travel on Coach 12, Coach Travel on Coach 13, etc. No mention of actual tickets at all. And when I did click on one of the coach options, all I got was Online Sales Closed. This really is rubbish. We (sadly) expect it from the RFL, but the club should have done a lot better.
My next thought was, queue at the stadium tomorrow. But is that the best move? ATEOTD, OT won't sell out, will it? Is it better to wait a few days, and try the RFL site? But I suppose the club will be given a further allocation at some point? Have people really bought tickets through Man Utd?

You can buy tickets through the RFL, but I have no doubt you will be able to buy tickets from Wigan later this week and no, there is zero chance it sells out with Catalans in the final, might have got fairly close against Saints.

It won't sell out - just depends on how much you want to sit in the Wigan end. You could get tickets from the RFL easily in the stand opposite to ours but just pot luck whether you end up in amongst the small set of Catalans fans, neutrals or the Wigan fans who will bought there after not getting them in our end today.
I'd wait till tomorrow morning and see if the club puts anything on the website. Sounds like they've asked the RFL for more tickets. Why on earth only 8k were released initially is the confusing one.
Sounds like the clubs initial allocation sold out but they’ve not confirmed that. When the ground is likely to be only two thirds full, we’ll surely get another good sized allocation. The club really could do with letting people know what the deal is.
Thanks, guys. Yes, it absolutely seems what we need now is an announcement from the club ASAP. But what I'm reading about people queuing for literally hours today, and still walking away empty-handed, whilst blokes in front of them were buying 50 tickets at a time? This is not acceptable.
All the good work over the last two years, in regards getting the real fans involved in the culture has totally disappeared with this debacle. We must have 8000 season ticket holders, to be allocated 8000 tickets is rubbish. Sure it won't sell out, but that is totally not the point . How many season ticket holders where left in the queue who came away without tickets Anyone who has bought a season ticket, it says on the pack, priority will be given to season ticket holders.
