One thing we couldn't say is that 'the players don't get on with the coaching staff'......................they'd all be on king st every friday, saturday and sunday being the best of pals :D

The events of today has convinced me even more that our new coach should be Brian McDermott.

We need somebody with a strict disciplinary outlook who takes no sh*t but at the same time will be respected by the players.

If certain players don't like that then they make way.

He could do a good job at Wigan but for me there is only one man that should get the job and no-one else would lift the town as much as he would.

It's a pipe dream though mate.

He has 3 union jobs all of which are high profile and well paid and we couldn't match them and he's got a kid down in London that he wants to see on a regular basis.

Even his love for Wigan RugbyLeague club won't tempt him here just yet.

I do have a genuine feeling that his love for the club will see him here one day but not yet.

Hopefully that day isn't too far away

I'd guess were looking at 5 years minimum mate which is a real shame.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to enquire but i'm 100% sure the answear would be no.

Well if money was the only problem we should have a whip round at the next big home game, get them people with the red buckets and a nice poster glued round them make it look the business and we're sorted!

I nominate Fat Harry to go on a tour of Edwards Union employers to see if they'll accept part of the copper bucket as a way of compensation for him :D

Given the strength we have in the second row we could chuck the cash at a top class strike centre if one was to become available to give us that threat out wide again. We are desperatly in need of someone who can make a break on the flanks out of nothing now and given Carmont is OOC he could very well be the man to make way IF the right calibre of player became available.

If only he didn't have a massive injury cloud hanging over him i'd be tempted to offer Solomona a deal for next year dependant on which coach comes in because he's the only other player in superleague that has that 'xfactor'(Thats ones for Paul Cullen) like Hock has. He can change a game in the blink of an eye but his shoulder seems shot.

Any centre that replaces Carmont before he's totally done will have to be a certain star for me. We can't afford to release Carmont and then end up with an un-interested superstar like Matt King.

I also read that in the Express, where the hell do they get Mathew John's name from, I know the guy might want a fresh start, but does he posses any previous coaching experience.

As for Lammy I would say yes, if the club is stuck in a rut, then in my mind who better to take it back to it's previous state than former players who experienced the club at it's best.
matty johns was part of the coaching staff at melbourne. Radlinski speaks very highly of his influence on the players when he was here.
