Why would they? They know they'll get joy at Wigan but not at other clubs.

Ryan Hall- 5 year deal

James Roby- 5 year deal

Chris Hill- 5 year deal

You can say they mean little but again I'd say that's only at Wigan and those examples I name will stick to their deals and ignore the NRL.

Its the roosters who have made an approach for burgess not the rabbitohs, and its an offer that he is seriously considering.

It's no surprise. They must have watched him in the WCC playing really well in a huge game so early in his pro career and thought 'we'll have some of that'. The game was played up as being an audition for Charnley to put himself in the shop window for an NRL gig and this 19 year old kid outplayed him with ease.

It all links back to NRL clubs knowing they get joy out of Wigan as well.

The club simply cant afford to let Burgess and Sutton go, they are the future. It is one thing experienced players leaving but if we dont then have the youngsters coming through either we will be in a very poor position.

Its a downside to our huge talent pool we have readily available. Hence why when one of our 'star' players leaves (eg Sam Tomkins), we get quotes from SW or IL that "XXXX is ready to step up in to that position".

Can't have 'em all I'm afraid. You play in the Wigan Warriors first team and you're in the shop window - whether you want to be or not.
