OK - Hypothetical question: The RFL invest in a national stadium; where do they build it? A few locations:

London - Far away but good for hiring out. Cost of land etc would be high.
Manchester - M62 belt but good for hiring out.
Birmingham - Not too far; outside of the M62 so can't be accused of being flatcappers. Again, good for hiring out. Close proximity to West Country, might draw a few liberal Union fans who remember Wigan 7s etc?

Feel free to add more.

Seriously i don't know if it would work or where it would be based but if we got it at a high initial cost I’m sure it would pay for itself after a while especially if we used it for other sports like Athletics or Concerts etc?

I’ve just posted the same thing on the VT to see others opinions on it. If you look at all the other major sports which is where we aim to be they all have their own stadiums

Lords is the Marylebone Cricket Club's ground, also Middlesex, and the home of the EWCB,.

we should do something similar with Wembley, I thought when it was rebuilt it was a condition that rugby League had to be played there. the GB internationals there in the past were great occasions,

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...

20th: Wigan
The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.

Most of the backs would make pretty decent RL players, its the 'fly halfs' that infuriate, they insist on kicking even when theres a glaring gap/overlap.
As for the forwards......... pfffft!!

wembley....played at regular and hosts all big games inc cup semis and final, cc, and nfl........as well as rock concerts
twickers....http://www.rfu.com/microsites/twickenha ... 9173...and thats just the next few weeks
wimbledon.......all year round museum and tours.

so they all have one thing in common, with maybe the exception of wimbledon..........they are in use most of the year.

what could you do with a national rugby stadium to make it pay for its upkeep??

All four are better than Senior Imo.

Add to that Shane Williams, Lee Byrne and Rob Kearney are all fantastic ruby players who would walk into the England RL team.

LMFAO

Do you REALLY think that those 4 centres are better than Gidley, Senior and Carmont?

I would give you Shane Williams, he would make a good RL Winger in the style of Robinson.

But 1 from 30 is about it as far as I am concerned.

perhaps Dave Whelan should rename the JJB to 'The National Rugby League Stadium" .... then RL would have a national stadium ....
