TBH I think everyones going a bit OTT with the sack Noble thing and just how bad things are at the club.

The Wakefield game was absoloutly dire - no excuses for that performance at all.

The Hull game I didnt go to but from what I hear it werent a bad performance and we tired badly due to injuries which lost us the game.

The Castleford game I thought was below average but I didnt think we were that bad. Tim Smith costed us the game 4 out of the 5 tries with absoloutly shocking defence. As a professional rugby player hes got to put his hand up and sort his defence out as well as that the coach has to make sure he is hidden in the defensive line as well as the players around him. There is alot of teams with poor defenders worst than Tim Smith so this can be resolved so I am not worried about this.

The other 16 players I thought were not woeful. Theres a good few of them ie Fielden and Coley I would expect a bit ok ALOT more from but otherwise I thought we played some really good rugby and moved the ball a bit which gave us some good options. Obviously theres alot more to be done but I was quite pleased with the style in which we played and that there was room for improvement.

Also had we had Paaat on the pitch he would have probably won us the game with boot and there wouldnt have been as much moaning going on from the fans.

Ok weve lost at home against 2 of the 4 worst teams in the league but it is a competitive league and it CAN happen to the best of teams. Cas and Wakey will turn other decent sides over this season - Fact.

As much as Noble annoys me with his "the seasons won in October" rubbish he does have a bit of a point and he has got form for getting his teams ready for the business end. I dont agree with it but I dont think we have a squad good enough to compete at the top of its game from Feb to Oct.

A purple patch inspired on his home ground by man of the match WIGAN CAPTAIN Sean O’Loughlin produced three tries in an eight-minute spell just before half-time, and the GB Lions added two more after the break to maintain Smith’s 100 per cent record as Great Britain
coach.

Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.

Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Indeed.

Leuluai was leading the talks in the huddle after the game. He had a lot to say it would seem.

Leuluai is probably the strongest personality in the team, if there is a player's revolt I'd expect him to front it. It's quite clear that something 'just isn't right' at the moment. I'm not suggesting outright foulplay, but the players don't seem fully committed.

I've heard enough now, Noble has got to go sooner rather than later. Has IL got the balls/money to sack him though?

Revolt?

Are we saying tommy is a bad influence.

He's only got till the end of the season on his contract anyway so to sack him wouldn't cost us an absolute fortune.

I say that though i just don't see Lenagan as the type of man to sack somebody mid season. He made the call to give him a 12 month extension and i'd be suprised if he doesn't sick to that. I think it was obvious by only giving Noble 12moinths that Lenagan isn't overly convinced and i think only us winning something will save Noble from the shop at the end of this season.
