I consider myself a Wane and Lenagan loyalist, but given that Sarginson is leaving, Gildart still a kid and Thornley seemingly permanently injured, I'd be very disappointed in our two leaders if the best they could do to fill the gaping hole at centre was a 30-year-old Chris Bridge. Now if he's adequate in your opinion, fine ... but my opinion is that Wigan should be rebuilding towards the heady heights of being best team in the league, not just soldiering along with anyone they can get. That doesn't necessarily mean breaking the bank for Aussie superstars who are highly unlikely to come anyway, but it involves showing a lot more ambition than this signing would - so much so that I strongly doubt it will happen.
