Rugby Union: When entertainment just isn't your thing.

I think we need to be more choosey on who we sign mid season from now on but i wouldn't rule certain signings out alltogther.

I remember Leeds signing Ali Lauititi mid season and if somebody if a similar quality ever became available i'd hope we'd be in for him.

Agreed that sigings like Phelps are pretty pointless though.

Absolutely ruling out signing mid-season would be stupid and in fairness after reading the article I agree with what Ian Lenegan has said. But the players have to be of the right quality. I mean just compare your example Ali Lautitit to Cameron Phelps.

I hope IL realises this - rumours linking us with players like Richard Moore and Ryan McGolderick are a waste of time.

Greg Bird would have been a good mid season signing for an English club but that wasn't to be.

Unless it's a frontline player who could get a regular game in the NRL we have enough quality in most positions in the reserves to not bother and promote from within.

I'm just not 100% sure Nobby would feel that way.

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

The thing is players who are available mid season are up for grabs for a reason, probably because they are not wanted by another club or they have done something naughty hehe then they wont get a visa the way its going atm.

For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

I think Saints had announced his signing mid season but he was signing for the next season. Same as we did with DV.
