Tbh, I think your alright and I didn’t want you out of pocket. I knew I wasn’t going to lose, which is a nice position to be in when making a bet, but I also had a sense of guilt, and had you have pm’d, I’d have still saved you your money.
I’m a sucker at times, but not that type of sucker either.
To add to that, when I give to charity, I don’t like it advertised anywhere. I do what I do without want and I give when I give in confidence.

Having first option isn't a legal binding agreement that he must sign for us. It just means we speak to him first. The legal bit must be in the last week because as i believed it he was a 95% signed sealed and delivered Wigan player but Warrington stuck a huge 11th hour offer into him. It must be something to do with that. Who cares anyway, we have much bigger problems than a vastly overrated HB.
No, GW had already agreed to go to Wire at least 3 weeks ago.
You only need to look at the GW statement about sucking up to Lenegan, to know that its likely Lenegan had written it!

I don't think GW comes out of this well at all, but I can't help but think that a factor must have been him thinking, look at the state of the Wigan club at the moment, who will be their coach next season, etc etc.

No problem, I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll donate the value of that bet to Joining Jack.
Done.

I don’t need to know. You wouldn’t know if I had given.
However that’s nice if you to do so, whilst having nothing to do with a bet.
You’ve done so out of the goodness of your heart.

Would be funny if Leeds nipped in last minute and whipped him from under Wire's noses.

Wouldn't that mean that Wigan wasn't even GW's 2nd choice?

Who cares? I'm glad we haven't spunked most of our salary cap on him though. Run of the mill half back with a bit of pace. Tonnes of them about.
