It was interesting to read Tony Smith today stating how he's changed his opinion that coaches have a shelf life at a club and how bringing in new support staff to work with his really rejuvenated him at Wire. I've been concerned for a while that whenever coaches leave we just seem to shuffle everyone up one. It's good to have confidence in your way of working and in your current staff but sometimes I just feel you need fresh ideas.
I also don't like it when I hear that guys like Joel Tomkins and Lockers are producing video clips for training and doing some coaching with the first team. They're big players for us and they need to put all their efforts in to the playing side of things IMO. There's no issue with them working with juniors for me but you shouldn't be marking yours and your classmates homework!
