When I saw FPN was linked with Saints I was a bit gutted as when he is on he is nearly unplayable with his powerful running, would really give us so impact and go forward that we miss, then I saw the link to Gubb and I was less concerned as of the 2 personally I would prefer Gubb for his work ethic and outstanding defence.

I hope it is not a case of either or IF we sign him.

He will undoubtedly add to the entertainment if he signs though.

I'd be gutted if that happened. Gildart I can understand but Tierney. He's not a bad prospect but no way should he be a 1st choice winger. Add to that the huge lack of competition for the 3/4's and it would be a plan that could set us back years IMO.
We need a top class winger to replace JC and I don't think it's optional!

Agree re a winger, we need to bring in a quality winger, its the most important position in RL for try scoring, we need someone powerful and good in the air, an early Joel Monaghan type player, there must be loads of them in Australia, i liked Oldfield at Catalans, dont know how he is doing now as i am a bit out of touch with the NRL this season. I think Tierney needs another season on the fringes, with Sarge going he will get more opportunities. I like him as a player but its a tough one for me because i cant decide how to use him :/

We will miss Charnley much more than we want to believe. This season and especially since he announced he's leaving he has been sensational in a poor team. 13 tries in 17 games when our attack has been shocking, our 2nd highest meter maker after Sarge, saved countless tries and chased back breaks (e.g. Wakefield game when we were getting hammered) and always plays the game with a smile on his face.

This a rumors thread so what I am about to say can be considered to be only a rumour and not anything else.

Wigan and Leeds are said to be having talks with a view to a swap deal between "he who cannot be mentioned" and Zak Hardacre. I was in my local club last night watching the England footy match when a group of blokes who were attending a function in the next room came through to watch the match, a couple of them sat down at my table.
It turned out they were rugby lads from Leigh Miners and Leigh East "I think one was a coach" and it was they who mentioned the talks between Wigan and Leeds, as well has a few more interesting facts about the goings on at the club.

If true would Hardacre be used as a fullback, centre or wing ?, looking at the last few lines on the "Hardacre" thread on the Leeds board a move to the NRL must be the last thing on his mind.
