Hmmm ... like for like bad boys, only one's playing exceptionally well and one's playing exceptionally badly.

Form is temporary, class permament and all that ... but I'm not sure about Zak. Would have taken him last year, no question. Not so sure I'd want him now.

Exactly, why take on Leeds's liability when we can hopefully seek redemption from ours?
Hardacre has had a number of incidents over the last two/three years, Bateman was incident free up until a few weeks ago.

Plus we don't need to strengthen in that area, plus why make any Leeds stronger?

Is the backline stronger with ZH at #1 and Sam and Williams in the halves? I'd say yes, but not at the expense of JB.

This would be a logical thing for people to 'discuss' in the pub which then develops into a rumour. I must admit it had crossed my mind as a possibility. Hardaker has obviously had his problems in the past but I don't think he is as bad as some are making out. What I don't know is the real reason he is leaving Leeds which may change my opinion on things. If we are in a situation where we have to get rid of one our our best players then I'd rather have a decent player in return rather than the cash. I'd be open to Hardaker, I'd put him in the centres replacing Sarge. I think his attributes a perfect to make a top centre, though he is a good full back, particularly defensively I don't think he has the play making ability to be as good as Sam.

3 Gelling
4 Hardaker
5 Manfredi

Looks a pretty good back line to me.

From what I've read previously the player (why can't I mention his name, I'm not accusing him of anything) is a Bradford fan and would rather not play for Leeds. I've no idea if there is any truth in that though.

Hardaker's passing is absolutely awful. If he plays centre you might as well not have a winger.

I don't think his passing is good enough for a modern day full back. A centre is a different proposition, there is many a decent centre who's passing is suspect, it's more about the lines they run. As long as they are able to feed a simple pass onto the winger (which I sure he is) then it's not a huge issue.

Irrelevant really as it I doubt it will happen. Having read the Leeds board, if what they say is true I have a lot of sympathy for him, he could probably do with a short term break from the game to get his head back together.
