Sorry, I forgot that in the game of today, all players have to be capable playing anywhere, like for example backs packing down in a scrum.
Williams was never a proper Stand Off in a month of Sundays and I am not alone in saying it. Was only playing in the position at Wigan to accomodate a older player past his best and who should have retired by now.

But he wasn't playing stand off (in its traditional form) because we play split halves
